Join the CycleLab-Team

CycleLab is an early-stage startup reshaping the future of bike and e‑bike service in Zurich and beyond. We offer smart, professional bike services that make life easier for everyday riders, commuters, and e‑bike owners. As we grow across major Swiss cities, we’re looking for motivated people who share our passion for bicycles, customer service, and innovation.

Whether you're a trained bike mechanic, interested in e‑bike repair, or simply excited to work in a fast-paced environment built around cyclists, this is your chance to help build something meaningful. You'll be part of a tight-knit team that believes in quality, efficiency, and a hands-on approach to modern bike maintenance.

At CycleLab, you can expect real responsibility, a top-tier coffee machine, the freedom to shape how we operate, and free bike training for everyone who picks up and drops off bikes — to keep you sharp on and off the saddle. We ride together, work hard, and enjoy the occasional after-work beer.

We’re currently hiring in Zurich and expanding to other cities in Switzerland. If you’re looking for an exciting, high-paced role in bike or e‑bike service, check out our open positions and help us deliver the best bicycle repair experience in Switzerland.

Philipp Tholen CycleLab E Bike Service
  • CycleLab is busy launching it’s first workshop in Zürich. At the same time, we are planning expansion into other Swiss cities. For our future locations in Basel, Berne and Lucerne, we are looking for workshop managers.

In this exciting and enterpreneurial role, you oversee all activities in your team while contributing hands-on with your experience and your know-how to delivering first in class service quality. Together with your team of mechanics, you run the entire repair and service process of a bike and oversee logistics as well as procurement of spare parts. You coach and develop your team members to become service KOM's who overachieve customers' expectations. Whatever you do, customer satisfaction is your highest priority!

In addition to running your shop, you are in constant contact with the COO and your colleagues from other CycleLab locations to improve the customer experience and optimze the group's processes and systems. Hence, you are not afraid to use modern software tools, challenge the status quo and try innovative approaches for existing challenges. You can do what you do best while being supported by the HQ with marketing, HR, accounting, etc.

    Here is what CycleLab offers:

    • An attractive work environment where service is at the core of the business and you have opportunities for career development

    • Signing fee of  CHF 1500.-

    • Regular work hours (no weekend work)

    • Constand expansion of your professional knowledge

    • Discount on bike parts

    • Annual working time (you work when there is work)

  • As a junior bike mechanic you will work for the CycleLab team in Zürich. The team repairs a large number of different e-bikes and bio bikes each day and brings them to excellent condition, providing CycleLab’s customers with a high-quality service.

In our Lab, you are not just a lone wolf doing his work unnoticed somewhere in a corner. Rather, you are part of a buzzing team of motivated and ambitious mechanics, each one having his/her own area of expertise and contributing to the success of our young company. In addition to the inspiring and energizing work environment, the company provides you the following unique benefits:

    • Very competitive salary

    • Signing fee of 1500.-

    • Employee participation scheme

    • Regular work hours (no weekend work)

    • Participate in the CycleLab Academy

    • Discount on bike parts

    • Annual working time (you work when there is work)

    What you will do

As a junior mechanic, you will carry out the entire repair process of a bike and ensure that the bikes are returned in excellent condition. You will work with your teammates in a well-equipped workshop in Zürich. When you are faced with tricky challenges, one of our senior colleagues comes to help you and makes sure you expand your expertise continuously.

Due to the large selection of different bikes (mountain bikes, road bikes, city bikes, cargo bikes; heavily used to almost new), the job remains varied and highly challenging.

    • You repair bikes independently with everything that goes with it (inspection, fault finding, spare parts procurement, repair, quality control)

    • Together with your colleagues, you prepare bikes for delivery to our customers and own the deliver @ home process.

    • You work on constantly improving our service and our processes

    • You become an essential part of our team and bring in your ideas for optimizing our repair and maintenance processes

  • As a bike mechanic “on call” you will support the CycleLab team in Zürich when they need additional resources. You can work flexible hours and you focus on getting stuff done. If you are studying and want to live your passion for bikes at the same time - this is your perfect side gig!
